Babangida tips Nigeria to reach quarter finals

Former Nigeria midfielder Tijani  Babangida has admitted that his Country can reach the last eight of the World Cup this summer in Brazil.

The 40 year old, who spent the majority of his playing career at Ajax, was a part of the Super Eagles team that reached round of 16 after heading group D at the 1998 World Cup in France.
Speaking on Goal, the former Ajax winger insists Stephen Keshi’s men have the potential to reach the Quarter finals of this coming tournament in Brazil.
“I have absolute confidence in the ability of the Super Eagles to qualify to the second round and go as far as the quarter-final of this World Cup,” Babangida said.
“Don’t forget that we are the African champions and we are expected to do well in this competition.”
The African Champions will face Argentina, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iran in Group F.
